Insel=Island. The brewery is located on the island of Rügen, just off the Baltic coast. The flora, fauna and general environment of the island are incorporated into the presentation of each individual beer and colour the character of the respective beers.

vinification

Like all other beers from Insel. First an open fermentation using different types of hops to guarantee a lively and aromatic character. 2nd fermentation in closed vats ensures fizz and carbon dioxide. The fermentation in the bottle guarantees fresh hop aromas and a longer shelf life.
