picture of

Aromas of red cherry, strawberry, blackcurrant, and flowers create a vibrant, juicy red wine with exceptional harmony and structure. On the palate, it is elegant and well-structured, with silky tannins and a vibrant energy that envelops every sip, offering a perfect balance between freshness and persistence.

climate

The Langhe region enjoys a warm, maritime climate, characterized by warm, pleasant summers, cool, but rarely truly cold, winters, and relatively low rainfall. Summers in the area are pleasant, with average daily temperatures ranging between twenty-five and thirty degrees Celsius.

soil

The Langhe terroir consists of hilly vineyards with clay and limestone soils, sometimes with sand or marl. The combination of altitude, location, soil, and climate produces wines with elegance, complexity, and ageing potential.

vinification

The Langhe Nebbiolo 1661 is made from a selection of Nebbiolo grapes grown in a northerly location. This is supplemented with a selection of grapes from the younger rows. Harvesting is done manually, and the bunches are selected on a sorting table. Cryomaceration takes place for 24 to 48 hours. Fermentation and maceration then take place in stainless steel, followed by several months of aging in oak barrels.
