This Pinot Noir comes from the iconic Marlborough vineyards, layered with old alluvial gravel tops and dense clay subsoil. With a balance between drainage and water availability, this soil composition produces the best Marlborough Pinot Noir. With over 30 years of experience, our carefully selected Pinot Noir vineyards are located in the South Wairau Valley, including our very special Barracks vineyard.

The Pinot Noir fruit was gravity fed into open fermentation vats, with an addition of 5% of the entire batch. The skins were gently immersed, with an average of 21 days of skin contact, after which 100% of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation. After fermentation, the wine was aged for 11 months in French oak, 30% of which was new.
