The 2012 vintage was a challenging one for wine growing in the Champagne region. The winter months brought frost and hail, which damaged the buds of the vines. However, August and September were exceptionally warm, which helped the grapes to reach an astonishing ripeness. These contrasts in weather conditions gave the Dom Pérignon 2012 its characteristic complexity and power.
