The 2013 vintage was a complex year for winemaking, with cool temperatures and lots of variability in the weather. This resulted in a Champagne with a nice balance between the fresh, invigorating acidity of the Chardonnay and the deeper, fuller notes of the Pinot Noir. The contrast between these grape varieties is well-exposed in the 2013 vintage, giving the Champagne a subtle but layered complexity.
