Eminente Reserva is made entirely in Cuba, using local ingredients, in the traditional way. The blend consists of 70% aguardiente – a powerful, aromatic distillation of sugar cane molasses – complemented by lighter, younger rums to achieve the perfect balance. The rum is then matured for at least 7 years in ex-American oak whisky casks, which contribute to its deep colour and layered character. The alcohol content is 41.3%, slightly above average, allowing the flavours to come through richer and more intensely.
