The Krug Vintage 2011 is an exceptional champagne that reflects the unique weather conditions of that year, an early spring led to rapid vine development, followed by a hot summer with four days of intense heat, followed by two days of rain and cooler days just before harvest. These unpredictable conditions resulted in a harvest with perfect balance and structure, especially in the Pinot Noirs, while the Chardonnays were riper and juicier than usual. The Meuniers retained their freshness and elegant bitterness.
