picture of

Deep, dark, garnet red color. Aromas of raisins, prunes, blueberries and sweet spices. Intense taste, beautiful structure and warm character that presents itself at the same time firm and yet velvety. Long, complex and luscious finish.

Hearty meat dishes, game preparations and aged cheeses. Could also be enjoyed without any food as one of the most impressive wines in Italy.

climate

The climate is somewhere between a Mediterranean climate and an Alpine/continental climate where both the mountains and the sea play a major role and influence the temperature with cooling at night and milder temperatures in winter. Regular precipitation but mainly in winter.

soil

Vineyards in the heart of Valpolicella. Variation of lime and clay soils.

vinification

Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara are picked at optimum maturity and left to dry in "Fruttaio" for 90 to 120 days. The dried grapes are then pressed and the fermentation started. The wine is then aged for at least 2 years in wooden barrels before being bottled.
