Brilliant ruby red color with violet hues. The wine has almost all the characteristics of the first wine but to a slightly more modest degree. Faster to drink, smoother style, slightly less impressive in complexity and final, but what a wonderfully tasty wine that offers the opportunity to get to know a top appellation such as Saint-Estèphe at an affordable price.

Microclimate situated in between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde and determining the unique climate of the Médoc. Warm, fairly dry summers and mild winters with regular precipitation and many hours of sunshine. The wind from the Atlantic Ocean blows the vineyards dry and limits diseases.

The original vineyards adjoin Calon-Ségur and part of the later acquired vineyards to the best of Saint-Estèphe, named Montrose. A variety of typical gravel vineyards with lime and pebbles (Cabernet Sauvignon) and more clay dominated vineyards (Merlot).

60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. The grapes are picked and selected by hand. Same process as with the first wine but without the use of new oak and a shorter aging period. The younger plants are also used for this.
