2017 Seguin Manuel Beaune Champimonts 1er Cru 0.75 Ltr. Rouge
picture of

Bright deep purple colour. On the nose, it develops powerful aromas of red berries, cherry and raspberry enhanced by toasted and spicy nuances. Well-balanced, it is powerful and fullbodied with concentrated aromas of fruit and liquorice. Ripe tannins give a velvety texture to it.

To be served on a nice piece of Charolais beef, braised ham or an Epoisses cheese.

climate

The region is at the confluence of three major influences: southerly, oceanic and continental. These unique conditions have, over time, dictated the choice of varietal. The climate of the Bourgogne winegrowing region is mainly temperate, and has a positive influence on vine growing.

soil

Chalk and clay, stones, mid-slope, facing East. Vines are over 35 years old.

vinification

Hand-harvested, the grapes partly destemmed have fermented during 16 days and the wine has been matured in French oak for 14 months.
