2018 Seguin Manuel Chambolle Musigny "Charmes" 1er Cru 0.75 Ltr. Rouge
picture of

Dark purple colour. It shows delicate aromas of black and red berries and soft spices on the nose. The natural balance with fine tannins enhance the subtle aromas until the long aftertaste. Power and subtlety in the same wine..

To be paired with any kind of game and strong cheeses (Epoisses or Munster).

climate

The region is at the confluence of three major influences: southerly, oceanic and continental. These unique conditions have, over time, dictated the choice of varietal. The climate of the Bourgogne winegrowing region is mainly temperate, and has a positive influence on vine growing.

soil

Brown clay and limestone, sediments and gravels on its upper part, located in the Côte de Nuits near the most famous cru of Burgundy : La Tâche and Romanée-Conti.

vinification

Hand-harvested, grapes have been sorted out before a 16 days fermentation. Wine has then been matured in oak casks (30% new barrels) for 16 months.
