In 1989 Luis Duarte graduated with a 1st degree in oenology and became one of the best of a new generation of winemakers in Portugal. He was chosen 3 times wine maker of the year. A first time even at the age of 27 and in 2010, he was even among the last 6 nominees for the best wine maker in the world. After launching some of Portugal's best domains, he started his own wine-growing region with some vineyards around his house in Alentejo, where he is still one of the top favorites in the region! Its wines are characterized by unprecedented complexity and remarkable elegance.
