picture of

Beautiful yellow colour with golden reflections. The nose reveals aromas of green apple, lemon tart and vanilla, complemented by hints of tropical fruit and baking spices. On the palate, the wine opens with appealing, juicy tropical fruit flavours, followed by more pronounced toasted and oaky nuances. Delicate notes of coconut and vanilla add further complexity. The finish is rich, harmonious and pleasantly creamy.

Rich fish dishes, smoked fish, poultry and other white meats.

climate

Mendocino enjoys a temperate Mediterranean climate, characterised by mild, wet winters and cool, dry summers, often influenced by refreshing ocean breezes and coastal fog.

soil

The soils of Mendocino are highly diverse and consist mainly of alluvial deposits. They include sand, silt and gravel, with limestone present in the subsoil.

vinification

Malolactic fermentation takes place after alcoholic fermentation. Regular bâtonnage (lees stirring) contributes richness and a creamy mouthfeel. The wine then continues to age on its lees until the final blending stage. Approximately 33% of the barrels are new French and American oak, providing a beautiful balance of vanilla, coconut and subtle spicy notes.
