The Federalist - California (United States)
The Federalist is a Californian wine brand of the Terlato Wine Group. The range includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, among others, with a style centered on ripe fruit, a full flavor, and an accessible structure. Privacy Notice Many wines come from Lodi, a major wine region in California. The Mediterranean climate combines warm, dry summers with cooling air from the Sacramento–San Joaquin Delta. The heat promotes the ripening of the grapes; the cooling Delta Breeze helps preserve freshness. According to the current producer sheet, the Pinot Noir comes from the Central Coast. Lodi Winegrape Commission In the cellar, different vineyard parcels are fermented separately so that their character is preserved and the winemaker can blend specifically. Oak aging plays an important role: according to the current sheet, the Cabernet Sauvignon ages for 15 months in oak, 35% of which is new. For the Chardonnay, malolactic fermentation and aging on the fine lees ensure a creamy texture.
