2023 The Federalist California Pinot Noir 0.75 Ltr. Red
picture of

This characterful Pinot Noir combines the ripe fruit expression of California with the elegance so typical of this grape variety. On the nose, it reveals aromas of cherries, cranberries, pomegranate and a subtle hint of blood orange. A touch of white pepper and delicate oak spices adds further complexity. On the palate, the wine is juicy, round and silky-smooth, with vibrant acidity, refined tannins and a pleasantly long finish. Eight months of ageing in oak barrels adds extra depth without overpowering the fruit.

An excellent match for delicate meat dishes such as veal fillet, pork tenderloin and a variety of poultry preparations. This wine also pairs beautifully with vegetarian dishes and Asian cuisine.

The Central Coast enjoys a temperate maritime climate, characterised by warm summers and mild winters, with sufficient rainfall throughout the year.
